“If one part suffers, all the parts suffer together.”
— 1 Corinthians 12:26a, TLV
I was just thinking…
One of the greatest honors we have as followers of Yeshua the Messiah is to partner with those who suffer for His Name. Around the world, believers are enduring imprisonment, beatings, discrimination, and even death for proclaiming the Gospel. Yet in their suffering, they shine. They remain faithful. They do not bow.
One ministry I deeply trust and respect in this area is Voice of the Martyrs (VOM). This global mission organization faithfully supports persecuted Christians and helps mobilize the Body of Messiah to remember and serve those who are laying down their lives for the Good News.
Why I Support Voice of the Martyrs
There are a few reasons I commend VOM to you:
1. Transparency and Integrity
VOM is open and honest with financial stewardship. As a Messianic believer, I value ministries that align with both Scriptural accountability and practical integrity. VOM is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), ensuring that resources go where they are most needed.
2. Ministry of Presence
For persecuted believers, knowing that they are not forgotten is a profound comfort. Through VOM’s work, they receive encouragement, discipleship, and tangible help. It’s not just financial assistance—they are provided Biblically sound resources, pastoral support, and most importantly, they are covered in prayer by fellow believers around the world.
“Remember the prisoners as if you were fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves also were suffering bodily.”
— Hebrews 13:3, TLV
3. Strengthening the Global Body of Messiah
VOM doesn’t just support persecuted believers—they equip them to be faithful witnesses in the darkest places. They don’t retreat. They advance the Kingdom where the cost is greatest.
A Messianic Call to the Great Commission
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Ruach ha-Kodesh, teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
— Matthew 28:19–20, TLV
This is not a calling for some—it’s a commission for all.
I urge you: don’t wait for a perfect opportunity to “get involved” in the Great Commission. Ask Adonai where and how He wants you to serve now. Maybe it’s giving. Maybe it’s praying. Maybe it’s sharing stories to inspire others. Perhaps VOM is the mission the Ruach is leading you to support—for a season or longer.
Let’s not forget: persecution is not just a chapter in Church history—it’s happening now. And our silence is not an option. Our prayers, support, and solidarity matter.
About Voice of the Martyrs (Adapted from VOM.org)
The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is a nonprofit, interdenominational missions organization that serves persecuted Christians around the world. It was founded in 1967 by Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand, Romanian Jewish believers in Yeshua who suffered greatly for their faith under Communist rule. Their testimony is one of boldness, love, and forgiveness even for their torturers.
Today, VOM continues their mission through the following five pillars:
- Encouraging and equipping believers to fulfill the Great Commission in areas of persecution.
- Providing spiritual and practical relief to the families of martyrs.
- Equipping persecuted Christians to witness in love to those who persecute them.
- Helping persecuted believers rebuild their lives and testimony after oppression.
- Inspiring the global Body of Messiah by sharing the courageous stories of our persecuted brothers and sisters.
“They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they did not love their lives even in the face of death.”
— Revelation 12:11, TLV

Final Thoughts: Yeshua Is Worth It
Let us never forget the words of our Messiah:
“If the world hates you, know that it hated Me before you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. But because you are not of the world… the world hates you.”
— John 15:18–19, TLV
Persecution is not a sign of failure—it is a mark of faithfulness.
May we never take for granted the freedom we have to worship, and may we use that freedom to support those who do not.
Stand with the persecuted. Partner in prayer. Serve with joy. Proclaim Yeshua—no matter the cost.
