According to Whose Spirit Are We Operating Today?

John 14:27 | 2 Timothy 1:7 | John 16:33

I was just thinking…

In a world increasingly dominated by fear, compromise, and confusion, the voice of Yeshua the Messiah still speaks with piercing clarity and unshakable authority:

“Shalom I leave with you; My shalom I give to you. But not as the world gives! Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid.”
— John 14:27, TLV

And again, the Ruach Elohim (Spirit of God) reminds us through the Apostle Paul:

“For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and self-discipline.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7, TLV

So, I ask you—according to whose spirit are we living today?

Fear Has a Voice, But So Does Faith

Let’s be honest. We are living in a generation that is gripped by fear:
– Fear of being misunderstood.
– Fear of offending others.
– Fear of persecution for standing with truth.
– Fear of boldly declaring our faith in Yeshua, the risen King.

And so, many of us shrink back. We blend in. We retreat into the background of culture, silently watching while the world continues to spiral deeper into deception.

But silence is not what we’ve been called to. Compromise is not our inheritance.

We are children of the Kingdom, not captives of fear.

Each year, we celebrate the season of Pesach (Passover) and Yom HaBikkurim (Feast of Firstfruits), proclaiming with joy: “The Messiah is risen indeed!” Yet the resurrection is more than a seasonal affirmation—it is the eternal declaration of victory over every force of fear and death.

“No one takes My life from Me,” Yeshua said. “I lay it down of My own accord, and I take it up again.”
— John 10:18

No man could kill God. No political system can dethrone Him. No cultural storm can overtake Him.

Yeshua is the Beginning and the End, the Aleph and the Tav, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. The One who overcame death has also overcome fear—and He has placed His Spirit within us to walk as overcomers too.

The Spirit of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind

Fear is not neutral. It is a spiritual force that paralyzes the people of God. But we have been filled with a greater Spirit—a Set-Apart Spirit. The Ruach HaKodesh does not lead us to cowardice but to courage, not to confusion but to clarity.

Yeshua never promised us comfort. He promised us conflict.
But He also promised us shalom—the unshakable peace of knowing that He is with us, even in the fire.

“In this world you will have trouble,” He said. “But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
— John 16:33

“Be strong! Be courageous! Do not be afraid or tremble before them—for Adonai your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.”
— Deuteronomy 31:6, TLV

Rise Up, Boldly and Unashamed

Beloved, there is a rising urgency in the spirit realm—a divine call for the people of Messiah to awaken from fear and stand in truth.

The Apostle Paul, beaten, imprisoned, and persecuted, never wavered in his mission. Why? Because he knew what was at stake.

“For I am not ashamed of the Good News—for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who trusts.”
— Romans 1:16, TLV

So now, we must rise. We must stand.

🌾 In a world of hatred, we will love anyway.
🌿 In an age of falsehood, we will speak truth anyway.
🪨 In the midst of storms, we will anchor ourselves to the Solid Rock—Yeshua our Messiah—and we will not be moved.

Not because we are fearless in ourselves, but because His perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18). Because we walk not by emotion, but by the power of the Ruach within us.

A Final Charge:

📖 Meditate on these declarations from the Word of God:

  • “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” — Hebrews 13:5

  • “So do not fear, for I am with you… I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10

  • “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.” — Matthew 10:28

🔥 Let the fire of the Holy Spirit rekindle your boldness.
🙏 Ask the Lord, “According to whose Spirit am I living today?”
🕊 Choose again to walk in the Spirit of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind.

The world is watching.
And more importantly, Heaven is calling.

Will you rise in boldness for the sake of the Gospel?
Will you reflect the resurrection power of Messiah in your life, your voice, and your actions?

Now is the time to choose.
According to whose Spirit will you operate today?
