Waiting Well | A Message from I Was Just Thinking Ministries

Shalom, friends and family in Messiah,
It has been a wonderful season of learning to wait upon Adonai—not passively, but faithfully. Since the Lord planted the seed of I Was Just Thinking Ministries in my heart during the winter of 2018, we have been praying, fasting, discerning, and watching the mighty hand of our Elohim move in profound ways.
Like Moses, who spent forty years in the wilderness before leading Israel through it (Exodus 3), and like David, who was anointed king many years before he wore the crown (1 Samuel 16:13; 2 Samuel 2:4), we, too, are learning that waiting on the Lord is never wasted time. In His perfect timing, He prepares us, refines us, and positions us for His purposes.
Where Are We Now?
Over the past five years, through the provision of Yeshua our Messiah and the prompting of His Ruach (Spirit), I Was Just Thinking Ministries has moved from a vision to a visible vessel. We are humbled to share just a few of the things the Lord has accomplished:
- Launched our official website: IWasJustThinkingMinistries.org
- Purchased podcasting and production equipment, Zoom account, ministry domain and emails—each step made possible by personal sacrifice and the Lord’s multiplication (Luke 9:16–17).
- Welcomed three team members whose hearts burn with the same passion for biblical truth and the kingdom of God.
- Developed curriculum and content for teaching, podcasting, and publishing to equip believers to KNOW the Word deeply.
- Experienced personal and corporate transformation as the Ruach HaKodesh continues to mold us into a ministry of substance, not speed.
- Completed Stage I of our IPO (Identity, Purpose, Organization) development—establishing who we are, why we exist, and what we’re called to do.
- Secured our ministry mailing address (P.O. Box)—another small but significant milestone.
All of this has been done not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).
What’s Next?
As we enter Stage II of our IPO development, here’s where we are going with joyful expectation and humble reliance on the Lord:
- Establishing our Board of Directors, a necessary step toward spiritual accountability, legal recognition, and long-term stewardship.
- Preparing our 501(c)(3) nonprofit application for IRS submission—a key marker for financial transparency and sustainability.
- Drafting our Bylaws, Employee and Volunteer Covenant, and Ministry Handbook, each grounded in the authority of the Scriptures.
- Discerning legal counsel from two ministry attorneys specializing in religious liberty and nonprofit law.
This next season requires great prayer, precise planning, and prophetic obedience. But we are confident that the One who has begun a good work will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6).

Why We Exist
At I Was Just Thinking Ministries, we are committed to equipping the Body of Messiah in the following three pillars:
- KNOW – Cultivating an intimate and transformative knowledge of the Scriptures
- ARTICULATE – Equipping believers to clearly and coherently proclaim the Word of Truth
- DEFEND – Sending out courageous followers to stand on the inerrant and eternal Word of YHWH
We are a Bible-based Messianic and Christian apologetics ministry, rooted in the prophetic commission of Jeremiah 1:4–10: to go wherever He sends and to speak whatever He commands. Through retreats, conferences, podcasts, blogs, and discipleship tools, we are preparing a people to stand firm in a generation that has abandoned truth.

Beloved, we are not building this ministry with bricks of ambition but with prayers, Scriptures, and the Spirit of God. May we always wait on YHWH—not in fear, but in faith. May we declare His Word with fire in our bones and hope in our hearts. And may the generations who come after us rise and call Him faithful because we chose to believe Him now.
