Our family believes firmly that the Bible provides us with more than enough celebrations that we do not need to covet world celebrations. Our daughter will not crave or feel as though she missed out on Halloween, for example, because we have the Biblical celebration of Purim. We get to dress up, give and receive gifts, enjoy a Purim play or interesting, narrated, and interactive reading of the entire Book of Esther, and have a party.

It is important to once again reiterate that, the current celebrations in the church were not celebrated by the early believers and in fact were not even established until hundreds of years later in most cases.

Understanding the Feast of Sukkot: A Biblical Journey
Just as Passover is prophetic and carries a more profound meaning throughout the entire Bible regarding Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah), so does Sukkot. Sukkot reminds us that just as YHWH tabernacled or made His dwelling with the children of Israel in the wilderness, He tabernacles with us as we journey on this earthly wilderness to the permanent Promise Land, Heaven.

The Truth in Our Bones: Gender Differences in Pelvic Anatomy as a Key to Gender Identification
🦴 Did you know the human pelvis is the only gender-specific bone in the body?
What does that tell us about God’s design and the truth about gender?
In Part 4 of our “What Is Truth?” series, we explore biological reality, Scriptural design, and forensic evidence—all pointing to the same truth: we are male or female by divine intention, not personal invention. Truth is not cruel; it’s clarifying—and it’s written in our bones.
Should Christians Celebrate Yom Teru’ah , also known as The Feast of Trumpets (Shofar) and Rosh HaShana
In Leviticus 23:24, God calls for a solemn assembly: “a memorial proclaimed with the blast of horns” (zichron teruah – זִכְרוֹן תְּרוּעָה).” God used the word “memorial” to describe the purpose of the Feast of Shofarot. He ordained that on the Feast of Shofarot, we are to rest, sacrifice, and blast the shofar with loud, resounding blasts. Here we ask, why do we need to remember, or what are we supposed to remember?
Absolute Truth vs. ‘Speaking Your Truth’: Why Truth Still Matters
💬 “Speak your truth,” they say. But what if your truth contradicts reality—or someone else’s rights?
In Part 3 of our “What Is Truth?” series, we challenge the cultural obsession with self-defined truth and show why absolute truth still matters—for justice, sanity, and salvation. Through Scripture, psychology, and common sense, we explore why your truth can never replace The Truth—Yeshua the Messiah.
Understanding the Difference Between Messianic and Messianic Judaism
Is there are a difference between Messianic Jewish belief and Messianic? The difference between Messianic Judaism and Messianic came up in a recent conversation. You might be saying, “Are they not the same?” I wish I could say, “The short answer is…” Though not readily noticeable, there is undoubtedly a slight distinction between Messianic and Messianic Judaism.
Let’s Talk Messianic and Messianic Judaism – Part 2
we believe in a Jewish Messiah. Jesus Himself said, “You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.” (John 4:22, TLV) Jesus not only explicitly acknowledged His earthly Jewishness, but He also revealed our Heavenly Father’s purpose for establishing the Children of Israel, the Jewish way of being — to usher in Salvation for the world.
What is Truth? Is Truth Relative, Or Is Truth Absolute?
In a culture where “your truth” and “my truth” reign supreme, is there still room for the truth? This compelling article dives deep into one of the most critical questions of our time: Is truth relative or absolute? Through the lenses of Scripture, science, psychology, and Messianic faith, we expose the dangerous consequences of moral relativism and reveal the unshakable foundation of truth found in Yeshua the Messiah. If you’ve ever wondered why truth feels so elusive—or why standing on it is essential—this is a must-read.
Let’s Talk Messianic Judaism… What is a Messianic Jew?
What if everything you thought you knew about the early Church was missing its Jewish foundation?
Before the term “Christian” was ever used in Antioch, believers in Yeshua worshiped in synagogues, celebrated the Biblical feasts, and proclaimed the fulfillment of the Torah—not its abolition. Both Jew and Gentile were one in Messiah, gathering not in “churches” as we think of them today, but in assemblies rooted in Israel’s covenantal identity. So, what happened? Why has the modern Church often forgotten its Messianic beginnings?

Think For Yourself: Dual Revelation
In the 1950s, some 70 years ago, Albert Einstein was asked to give parting advice to 32 Rhodes Scholars with whom they had been meeting. Einstein prefaced what he concluded to be his top advice with this, “don’t believe anything is necessarily true just because you see it in the newspapers, or hear it on the radio, or everyone else believes it.”[1] He said all of that to drive home the best advice he could give, which was, “always think for yourself.”
April Newsletter
I Was Just Thinking Ministries was laid on my heart in January/February 2018. Thus, it has been five years of waiting, praying, and watching God’s mighty and divine hand at work creating this ministry. It is easy sometimes to forget that the events of Scripture took time to happen, no matter how quickly we read them. Moses, for instance, was trained in the desert for forty years before navigating God’s children through that very desert. Additionally, David was anointed King about fifteen years before he began his reign. God’s timing is perfect, and the beauty of waiting on God is that we are waiting for the best of what the Lord wills for us.
